Named Perils: All Crops

Rain on Planting Protection

Wet weather in spring can delay planting for many row crop growers. Ensure a strong start to your season with Rain on Planting Protection.

Rain on Planting Protection

Late planting can force growers to switch to shorter-season lower yielding varieties or delay crop maturity, exposing key growth periods to increased risks of high summer heat and drought, increasing the risk of end-of-season freeze damage and reducing a grower's ability to double crop.

Rain on Planting Protection is named peril insurance that allows you to specify your ideal planting period, paying you if you do not receive enough dry weather during that time. You get your planting completed on time, or you get paid.

With Rain on Planting Protection you decide how many acres you’d like to protect and how much you want to get paid per acre. There is no claims process required. The Climate Corporation will send you a check automatically if rain is persistent, compensating you within 10 business days.
